10 Terrible Photos That People Actually Paid For

I own a DSLR camera. But when I purchased that camera, I didn't “become” a photographer. Just like buying DJ equipment doesn't “mean” you're a DJ. Just like buying a stethoscope won't “make” you a doctor. You get my point. When it comes to professional photography, there is so much more to know beyond “auto”.

But not everyone is concerned with all that technical photo mumbo-jumbo. Some folks think that buying an expensive camera not only makes you a photographer, but justifies starting your own photography business! It is that very mentality that fueled the inspiration behind the website, which describes their mission in their “about” section:

How many people do you know that bought a nice camera, started a Facebook page and called it a photography business? Having a DSLR does not make you a professional photographer. We're outing these no talents with daily pictures from the worst of the web. We only post pictures that were from a photography “business,” and we use that term lightly.

Just think about how many times you see these types of bad photos in your very own news feed! Here are a few of our favorites from the site, and remember… these photos aren't from family or friends that have a “nice” camera… a photography “business” took these photos, and people actually paid for them!
