Around Longview, they call him 'The Moose', but his legal name is JaMichael Brown; a name that might end up in Texas record books. At 16lbs 1oz JaMichael is easily the biggest baby to have been born in Longview hospital, but officials are speculating that it may be the largest ever in the entire state.

Janet Johnson, the woman who gave birth to JaMichael had been booked for a Caesarean section on Friday morning. Janet and JaMichael's father, Michael Brown, were expecting their baby to be around 12lbs, but when all was said and done, it was a different story. A 4lb difference to be exact!

JaMichael entered the world at 24" long with a full head of hair. His head measured 15" and his chest measured 17" - according to doctors those are the measurements of the average three to six-month-old.

'I can’t believe he’s that big. A lot of the baby clothes we bought for him will have to be returned. They’re already too small for him to wear.'

Not-so-little JaMichael also came out with a full head of hair and the hospital did not have diapers big enough to fit him.

His mother also discusses complications she endured in further detail in the full story, and officials say it will take a few more days to declare JaMichael the biggest newborn Texas has ever seen.
