21 Savage is in a dire situation. On Sunday (Feb. 3), the rapper was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and accused of being an illegal immigrant. The rapper touched on the topic of immigration on an alternate version of his new single "A Lot" featuring J. Cole during a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday (Jan. 29)

The version of the song was left off the album but revealed through a Reddit poster last month. 21 decided to include the new version in the music video for the track as well as his performance on TTS.

At the end of his last verse, Savage raps, "Started from the bottom straight from the gutter, so I had to go a lil' harder/The lights was off, the gas was off, so we had to boil up the water/Been through some things so I can't imagine my kids stuck at the border/Flint still need water/People was innocent, couldn't get lawyers."

The former XXL Freshman's future appears to be up in the air. According to ICE spokesman Bryan Cox, “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested unlawfully present United Kingdom national Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA ‘21 Savage’ during a targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners early Sunday in metro Atlanta. Mr. Abraham-Joseph was taken into ICE custody as he is unlawfully present in the U.S. and also a convicted felon.”

What happens to the rapper is now up to a judge. 21's attorney Dina LaPolt is hoping to get him freed. "We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with authorities to clear up any misunderstanding," she recently said in a statement.
