According to TMZ, there is a mystery buyer out there seeking to purchase all right to the Kim Kardashian and Ray J "Sex Tape." Not only that, but it is being reported that the mystery person wants the tape removed from the internet. TMZ is reporting that a letter was sent to Vivid honcho Steve Hirsch yesterday which reads, "I was approached by a private party who has asked us about looking into the possibility of acquiring all rights of the Vivid, 'Kim Kardashian Sex Tape.'"

In the letter it is reportedly stated that they do not wish to distribute the tape to any other media outlet, but simply want all rights to it, the tape. We should note here that the weekend of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' wedding, the sex tape hit an all-time high in viewership. The buyer also wants to purchase all of the raw, unused footage (sex tape outtakes) that never made it to the DVD.

While it remains unclear to whom the "buyer" may be, it may not be the most difficult of all mysteries to figure out who would want this tape off the market. Sources close to Kim say that one point she was interested in purchasing all rights to the tape.

I can't help but think that after her marriage, Kim may have been approached by her hubby and asked to move forward with the purchase. The last thing Kris Humphries wants is to be in the NBA locker room and have to hear his teammates discuss the tape in detail. I personally think Kim is 100% behind this move, and I dare say that the tape will one day be "history."
