Lorenzo Adams posted a video to Facebook of a Bennettsville, South Carolina Police Officer playing football with a group of kids on May 12, and in just three days it has over six million views.

Adams was driving around his hometown when he noticed the Police Officer playing a football with a group kids. The comment under his video stated he "... had to video Because of all the other videos out there,, please SHARE so people can know what kind of Cops we have in this town".

BuzzFeed reached out to Bennettsville Police Chief Larry McNeil who identified the Police Officer as C.J. Mullinax. McNeil said that for the past eight or nine years the department has encouraged its officers to take time out of their days and interact with people in an effort to build trust between officers and community members. Judging by Mullinax's actions I'd say the initiative has been a success!

Lorenzo Adams later posted to Facebook his appreciation for all who had watched and supported the video saying "Thank you to all of you who shared this video and posted kind positive words. I pray that this serves as a way to show to all peace officers and first responders that we do trust, love, support and truly thank them for everything they do everyday. Our everyday heroes."
