Alicia Silverstone Feeds Her Son Like A Mother Bird, Spitting Food Into His Mouth [VIDEO]

Alicia Silverstone is taking heat on the web right now for a video that features the 'Clueless' actress chewing up food, and then feeding it to her 11-month-old son Bear (which is a bad ass name) by spitting it into his mouth in true mother bird fashion.She defended the bird-like behavior on her site The Kind Life, explaining

I just had a delicious breakfast…I fed Bear the mochi and a tiny bit of veggies from the soup…from my mouth to his. It’s his favorite…and mine. He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I’m eating.

Many health experts frown upon this practice, citing that infants' immune systems aren't always ready for the icky bacteria found in the average adult mouth. In some of the most extreme cases, HIV has been known to spread this way. (Yikes!)
