Alligator Escapes Cypress Lake On UL Campus [PICS]

Only in Lafayette!

The University of Lafayette is the only college in Louisiana that has a real life swamp in the middle of campus.

Sometimes it gets a little too real. Like what happened yesterday when a 5-foot alligator escaped Cypress Lake and started wandering around campus.

No one was hurt and the alligator was returned.

Since the alligator wants to be part of UL they should name it. I think because Lil Wayne is doing a free concert for UL on April 18th at the Cajundome they should call it 'Weezy.'
