Hard to believe that it's already been 10 years since American Idol stormed the airwaves and produced performers such as Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Chris Daughtry, and Adam Lambert (as well as Soul Patrol). Now, along with a big time face lift, or face replacement in the form of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, other changes are on the way as well.

From the new judges to the new set, the new bandleader to the music itself, American Idol is getting some serious work done for its tenth season. “We’re going ahead with a whole fresh change,” Idol exec producer Ken Warwick says to EW exclusively, “simply because we never thought in our wildest dreams that any show would last ten years on American television.”

From a revamped Top 20, to the possibility of having all female or male finalists, American Idol producer Nigel Lithgoe is tweaking the biggest talent show in the US to spice things up for the new season. See all the changes by clicking the link below.
