The all-female 'Top 5' kicked off last night's show with a collaborative 'Diva Medley' performance that had some pretty good vocals, despite resembling a scene from the television show 'Glee.'

Paula Abdul made a guest appearance in support of Candice Glover who sang the pop star's 1988 hit, 'Straight Up.'

"I'm your biggest fan ever," Abdul gushed to the 'American Idol' hopeful before taking a seat at the judge's table.

Some other stars were spotted in the crowd including the band Fall Out Boy, Jordin Sparks and Jason DeRulo.

Amber Holcomb took the stage wearing a very mini dress -- showing off her crazy gams.

"If there's a place above the Top 2, that's where she belongs," said Mariah Carey about the leggy contestant, who strutted onto the stage in a pair of divalicious heels.

'American Idol' then took a trip down memory lane with Latoya London who showed up in support of R&B siren Fantasia -- who was beautiful in all white.

The singer performed her newest track 'Lose to Win.' She received a standing ovation and got pretty emotional after her performance.

Clay Aiken was another former contestant who returned to premiere his new single 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' for the 'American Idol' audience.

Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur landed in the bottom two, but it was the latter who did not receive enough votes and had to sing 'for her life,' so to speak.

The judges decided not to use their save to keep Janelle on the show.

"This has been the toughest debate," Randy said, "Unfortunately, we're not gonna use it."

The country singing contestant broke down into tears, but still wore a big smile during her final moments as an 'American Idol' contestant.
