I'm a lifelong Louisiana resident who grew up in New Orleans and moved to Lafayette to go to college. I lived in the now demolished women's dorms where I made some wonderful lifelong friends. While studying for a degree in Broadcasting at UL (then USL,) working at the campus radio and television stations and weekends in commercial radio, I fell in love with Acadiana and decided to stay put after graduation. The fact that I met a local boy and fell in love didn't hurt, either! I've been on the radio in Acadiana since 1977 and married to that local boy since 1981. We have two tiny dogs who make us laugh every day.
