If there was one thing last week's box office winner, Disney's revisionist tale 'Maleficent,' was missing, it was rap stars. There's not a single rapper in the entire film, it's all just Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie and wood nymphs and spinning needles and such. No Ice Cube. No Ice-T. No Eminem. And this injustice will not stand -- because 50 Cent is out to correct it with his new feature film, 'Malefiftycent.'
When Kendall Jenner took the stage at this weekend's Billboard Music Awards, things seemed promising. The younger sister of the Kardashian siblings was tasked with introducing the band 5 Seconds of Summer (admittedly, kind of a hard name to say). While she was able to get a lot of facts down about the band (they are a band! they are on the Billboard charts!), she totally fell down on actually saying their name, which is kind of an essential part of introducing someone. Oops!
Maya Rudolph is really good at a lot of things -- stuff she gets to do professionally, which is awesome for both her and us -- but she's also deeply terrible at a wide variety of skills, like giving some 'Tonight Show'-branded 'Unqualified Advice' to fans looking for some practical and financially minded advice.
A "selfie" is a picture with just one person -- yourself, duh -- but a twofie is a selfie taken with, get ready for this, two people. We know, this is a photographic concept that is both brilliant and totally life-changing, so of course late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is the one to bravely pioneer the world of twofies on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.' Even better, Kimmel roped in guest Pharrell (sans hat) to both try it out and use it as a means of competition in a "Twofie Shootout." It's going to get snappy.
If you've been following the late-night show shake-ups of the past few months -- starting with Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers taking over the NBC slots, moving right into David Letterman announcing his retirement, and currently stalled out with the news that Craig Ferguson will also be leaving his own CBS show -- you might also be aware that Chelsea Handler is leaving her own E! show. But she is not retiring.
It's hard to imagine that anyone's partying technique would be too much for Prince's tastes; this is, after all, a man who sings about partying like it's 1999and the sexiness of cheap thrift-store finds with equal adoration. However, it seems that there is at least one person who is too freaky for even Prince to handle. Chico Divine. Who? Chico Divine? Who? Tracy Morgan's freaky-partying alter ego.
The Ford Mustang is turning 50 years old this year, and in celebration of the great American muscle car, Jimmy Kimmel and his 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' minions (including Guillermo, of course) put together a special little commercial for the vehicle. And it's so, so disturbing.
Here is just a small sample of some of the topics Nicolas Cage covered in a fast-talking, quickly moving, and oddly satisfying interview with Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show' last night: childhood Kiss performances, if it's cool we know what the Kiss guys look like without make-up, life insurance, (almost) dying while surfing, a tiny sculpture Jim Carrey made of him, a lizard wearing a top hat -- and that's just stuff that happens in the first half of the interview (the second half is embedded below).
