Beyonce is going to kick off 2013 on a patriotic note by performing at the second inauguration of President Barack Obama on Jan. 21.

The R&B mom will sing the National Anthem at the ceremony, which will take place at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, according to the Presidential Inaugural Committee (via People). Also performing are Kelly Clarkson, singing 'My Country 'Tis of Thee,' and James Taylor, who will sing 'America the Beautiful.

Obama will be officially sworn in for his second term on Jan. 20. However, a repeat of the swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural parade and ball will take place on Jan. 21, in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The Presidential Inaugural Committee also noted that more performers could be announced in the coming days.

A friend of the Obamas, Beyonce performed the Etta James classic 'At Last' while the President and Michelle Obama danced during the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball in 2009.

2013 is already shaping up to be a big year for Beyonce. The 'Countdown' singer already nabbed the cover of GQ magazine and on Feb. 3, she'll perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans.
