Big Sean has a lot of things to be thankful for -- he has a successful rap career, money in the bank and a hot fiancee. So it’s good to see the Detroit rhymer give back to his hometown by handing out frozen turkeys to families.

The rapper, his mother, Myra, and funnyman Mike Epps passed out turkey baskets, gave hugs and posed for pictures as part of the Sean Anderson Foundation -- the G.O.O.D. Music signee's organization.

"This turkey giveaway is an awesome way [to give back]," Sean said. "It feels good to see people excited to see me and I'm excited to see them."

In addition, the 'Fire' MC partnered with the Detroit Pistons for a new ad campaign to help boost the morale of the Motor City. The commercial will air on Fox Sports Detroit and feature’s Sean’s 'Finally Famous' tune 'So Much More.'

Meanwhile, in North Philadelphia, Meek Mill was handing out turkeys to families in need as part of his annual Dreamchaser's Thanksgiving Drive.

"I show love back for the support they've given me," he tells 6ABC News. "It’s about showing the kids you can come from nothing and become something. They can be in my position and help give back to the community anytime."

It’s always good to see rappers giving back to their communities. Props to Big Sean and Meek Mill for their charitable efforts.
