Sean Don is moving on up! NBC announced today (Jan. 10) that Big Sean will be making his musical guest debut on Saturday Night Live later this month. The Detroit rapper and G.O.O.D. Music golden child will take over Studio 8H on Jan. 21, 2016, accompanying Emmy-winning comedian Aziz Ansari who will serve as guest host.

Sean shared his excitement for this career milestone on Twitter, writing, "I'm super excited to announce that I'll be performing on @nbcSNL for the first time ever, January 21st. This one is for Detroit."

Sean's appearances comes just before he plans to drop his fourth studio album I Decided. on Feb. 3. The Detroit wordsmith has already shared singles "Moves," "Bounce Back" and "Living Single" so there's no telling which tracks he'll perform for the late night gig.

Aside from SNL, Sean shared earlier this week that he ill be hitting the road for the I Decided tour. Starting on March 17, Sean will embark on 21-city national tour with support from "Uber Everywhere" rapper Madeintyo. Tickets for the tour will go on sale this Friday (Jan. 13) via Live Nation.

It seems that an SNL appearance is becoming more of a rite of passage for big league hip-hop stars these days. Chance The Rapper just performed on the holiday episode of the sketch show and Drake took over as host and musical guest back in May to help promote his platinum-selling album Views.

Will you be tuning in to see Sean's performance on Jan. 21?
