This year, Komen Acadiana started a new program to help raise awareness and funds for the many projects provided and funded through Komen.

The new program, the Big Wigs, was gracious enough to nominate me as one of this year's Big Wigs! I am so excited!

I am trying to raise money for my jambalaya day which will be held Sunday, October 18th. You can buy a ticket for $5, and drive thru at the station on October 18th between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to get your jambalaya.

You can buy a ticket from me, or you can come to Townsquare Media at 1749 Bertrand Drive.  Our receptionist Janet will sell you a ticket.  Cash only.  Please bring the exact amount as Janet will not be able to make change.

We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Townsquare Media. If you don't care for jambalaya, you can still help.  I need supplies and stuff like that for the jambalaya. You can make a donation for meat, conainers, or just because you want to donate to Komen at my site http://komenacadiana.org/bernadette-lee/.

I really appreciate if you can help, and if you can't help with money, you can help with heart.  You can pray for all of the women who have lost their struggle with breast cancer and their families.

You can pray for all of the women who are fighting their battle right now, and pray for the women in remission, that we can find a cure for this horrible disease. You can also pray for my friend Polly as she continues to kick her breast cancer in the butt! You go Polly! We love you!  She is coming up on her fifth year anniversary of being breast cancer free!
