It was reported last week that Birdman has signed a deal with Apple Music, the Cash Money boss posting a picture to Instagram of himself alongside Larry Jackson, who heads Apple’s original music content. Soon after, the particulars of the deal were made clear, the basis of the partnership being Birdman's upcoming documentary, with the trailer for that film released Thursday evening (Aug. 18) through the streaming service.

Watch the minute-long trailer above, as Birdman's family and friends detail the conditions that influenced the Big Tymer to become such a successful hustler. Before Anythang will be out this fall via Apple Music, and doesn't look to be related to the Cash Money biopic that Slim and Baby spoke about in April.

“Can I tell you something my brother told me?” Baby asked the moderator at Brooklyn Law School during a speaking engagement. “He said everything we’ve ever did – and I got 20 plus years selling records – nothing we ever did is worth more than that script. I’m excited about the script. That’s something I really want to do."

Whether the Cash Money – Apple Music deal includes anything beyond the Birdman-specific doc isn't quite clear, but the relationship between the two is established, with Birdman having plenty of ideas, whether they be for clothes, music or film, and Apple having the platform to showcase them. Watch the trailer up above with the move just the latest for the power playing Cash Money mogul, who will appear in the upcoming season of Empire as well.
