As most Weezy fans already know, friction between Lil Wayne and Birdman has put off the release of Tha Carter V, and it hasn't seemed like the project will be dropping any time soon. During a recent appearance on Travis Scott's Beats 1 radio show .wav radio, Baby gave fans an unexpected glimmer of hope.

"It's definitely coming out," the Cash Money boss told Scott after being asked about the status of Tha Carter V.  "The situation with me and my son, I'm going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward," he said. "Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I'm going to support whatever he's doing." You can hear the clip below.

While this is definitely good news, it remains to be seen how Weezy and Birdman will resolve the financial disputes that have surrounded the unreleased but long since completed album. Back in November, Birdman abrubtly called off negotiations with Weezy, and it seemed like their beef would never be settled. So the question is: What's renewed Birdman's belief in his ability to work things out with the Young Money CEO? We have no idea.

In an interesting note, the Tha Carter II artist recently indicated that he'd be releasing three new projects in the coming months, and one of them is supposed to be Tha Carter V. Maybe Birdman and Weezy have worked things out after all.
