A wise man once said that "smart men, learn from others mistakes", and such is the case with our Louisiana Governer Bobby Jindal. Jindal, who is of Indian heritage, issued his official birth certificate

"knowing that his own status will certainly be examined in the event he ends up on a presidential ticket"

This is clearly a move in hopes to avoid the situation that President Obama has faced with the so-called "birther movement." According to a Jindal spokesperson, his father Amar Jindal secured green cards allowing the governer, born Piyush Jindal on June 10, 1971, to arrive to the U.S. in utero. His mother, Raj Jindal was 3 months pregnant and moving to Baton Rouge with a scholarship to study nuclear physics at LSU in a program designed to increase the number of engineers.
