Boil Water Advisory Issued In Lafayette

A broken water line located on Johnston Street near Constitution Drive has caused Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) officials to issue a Boil Water Advisory effective immediately for the following addresses:

• 100 Mitali Rd
• 104 Mitali Rd
• 108 Mitali Rd
• 112 Mitali Rd
• 118 Mitali Rd
• 120 Mitali Rd
• 124 Mitali Rd
• 124B Mitali Rd
• 132 Mitali Rd
• 136 Mitali Rd
• 138 Mitali Rd
• 140 Mitali Rd
• 142 Mitali Rd
• 200 Mitali Rd
• 214 Mitali Rd
• 216 Mitali Rd
• 228 Mitali Rd

LUS officials say these customers are currently without water. They are in the process of making repairs and say service should be restored this evening. Once that happens, customers will be under a boil water advisory for 24 hours.

As always, customers are reminded to boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
