The man who plead guilty in August to murdering Mickey Schunick and Lisa Pate has sent a request to a judge to void his guilty pleas. According to KLFY-TV, Brandon Scott Lavergne, who is incarcerated in the state prison of Angola, says he felt pressured into pleading guilty on the charges.

Lavergne has submitted a hand-written motion seeking to void his previous pleas and life sentence in state prison. Lavergne plead guilty to murdering UL student Mickey Shunick, and during the investigation in that case, Lavergne was linked to the death of Lisa Pate.

Lavergne now says he felt pressured to plea guilty in the above cases because he was facing the death penalty in both the Schunick and Pate case. We will continue to monitor this developing story.
