He looks like a lumberjack in his red plaid work shirt. His face is ruggedly handsome and with just a glance we are all inclined to wipe up a spill or mess on our kitchen counter.

What?

You read that correctly, this handsome hunk has been imploring those of us with a penchant for cleanliness in our homes to use his super strong brand of paper towels. He is the Original Brawny Man.

The Brawny Man is an animated spokes figure for Georgia-Pacific's brand of Brawny Paper Towels. However, during March, Women's History Month, the mustachioed macho mess cleaner will be replaced by a woman.

The move is only temporary and is done to highlight the company's commitment to people of all genders. In fact, they are incorporating a hashtag for the promotion, #strengthhasnogender.

The company is also announcing they will be making a $75,000 donation to Girl's Inc, an advocacy group focused on inspiring young girls to enter what has been considered non-traditional fields for women. However, to spotlight the ever changing landscape of gender equality the company has posted on its website a series of videos highlighting some of the amazing achievements of women in various walks of life.

You can expect the more familiar face of the new more sensitive-looking Brawny Man to return to the company's packaging later this spring.
