BREAKING NEWS: Bounty Ruling Comes Down On Saints, Sean Payton Out 1-Year
The National Football League has handed down the punishment to the New Orleans Saints for their bounty hunting program. The league did NOT come down easy on the Saints as Head Coach Sean Payton has been suspended for 1-year!!!! In addition to that suspension, the league also handed down more punishments to the Saints organization. The NFL also took away 2 second round picks from the Saints and further suspended Assistant Coach Joe Vitt for six regular season games. Vitt was also fined $100,000 for his involvement in the bounty program.
Also, Mickey Loomis, the Saints GM, was suspended for eight regular season games and fined $500,000. More details are emerging, and we will keep you up to date as they become available. Its a sad day in the New Orleans Saints organization.
