Bryant University Bans Graduates From Taking Selfies at Graduation
Bryant University, located in Rhode Island, told its graduates that they are not permitted to take "Selfies" on stage while receiving their diploma(s).
School officials fear that if all 800-plus graduates take a selfie, the ceremony will last too long, and thus become a distraction to those in attendance. The students are still allowed to take photos during the ceremony, just not on stage.
I wonder if someone started a Selfie Movement online and the school got wind of the plan. Did someone encourage all of the graduates to take a selfie while receiving their diploma and it got out via social media?
I don't know the answer, but I do know that Bryant University is aware of the infamous selfie and they want none of it at their upcoming commencement ceremony.
What party poopers.
