The BUKU Music + Art Project is returning for their second year (March 8-9), and today, the initial BUKU 2013 lineup was announced. Staying true to the flavor that we saw in this music festival's 2012 inaugural edition, BUKU is continuing the trend of bringing talent from both the electronic and hip hop sides of music - and they are bringing it well.

The headlining cast for BUKU 2013 includes Kid Cudi, Calvin Harris, Kendrick Lamar, Flux Pavilion, Nero, Passion Pit, Zedd, Big Freedia, Nicky Da B, Flosstradamus, Earl Sweatshirt and Major Lazer. Last year, the BUKU Project sold over 8,000 tickets and based on just the initial lineup, as well as the addition of a third stage, it's exciting to think of what's to come in 2013!

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 7, 2012 at noon. Based on the city it's thrown in, this festival delivers a vibe like none other. And I'm not preaching about the post-Katrina New Orleans you see on Treme here. Beyond the cliche creole dishes, and the vibrant French Quarter life that you might see during the B-roll of a Monday Night Football cutaway shot, New Orleans has been on top of it's musical party game - for a long time.

From hip hop to EDM. From Cash Money to the State Palace Theater. If you're looking for cultural experience that is second to none, BUKU Music + Arts Project is definitely a festival that is not to be missed.
