December 24, 2012 11:35 AM Now that (most of us) have returned to Lafayette and somewhat of a normal routine, we can finally look back on our weekend in New Orleans and say: “Where is my phone, my debit card, and…” – well, you get the picture. But we can also look back on the weekend and say: “Damn, that actually happened!”
Our Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns defeated the East Carolina Pirates to win their second New Orleans Bowl in a row! Feel free to check out these awesome pics below and relive the moment!
It all started when the Cajuns took the field in front of a record 48,000+ crowd that was dominantly RED…
Cajuns enjoyed a lead that they would never lose as Harry Peoples danced up the sideline to put the Cajuns up 14-0 in the second quarter.
Then Javone Lawson got in on the scoring action with a third quarter TD of his own.
Then, thanks to the New Orleans Bowl MVP Terrance Broadway, the Cajuns all but ran away with the game …
As the final seconds ticked away, Ragin’ Cajuns head coach Mark Hudspeth had led his team to back-to-back New Orleans Bowl Championships and earned a Gatorade bath!
