Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun football team returns to the gridiron on Saturday afternoon, when coach Mark Hudspeth’s squad travels to Atlanta, Georgia to take on the Georgia St. Panthers in a Sun Belt Conference contest.

The match-up marks the first game of three of the last five that Louisiana will play on the road.

The Cajun Harley Davidson Tailgate begins at 11 am on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, with the rest of the network, including Hot 107.9 and 1079ishot.com, joining the broadcast in time for the Hampton Toyota Pregame Show, which will begin at noon.

Kickoff time at the Georgia Dome is set for 1 o’clock.

Louisiana, who defeated ULM, 30-24, last Saturday, is currently 3-4 on the season, and 2-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 30.1 points-per-game, along with 416.3 total yards, 220.0 rushing yards, and 196.3 passing yards, while allowing 31.9 points, 402.4 total yards, 189.3 rushing yards, and 213.1 passing yards.

Louisiana is led by junior running back Elijah McGuire, who has compiled 676 yards, along with 9 touchdowns, on 129 carries.

Georgia St., who lost to Arkansas St., 48-34, last Saturday, will head into the match-up at 2-5, overall, and 1-2 in league play.

Offensively, the Panthers are averaging 26.1 points, along with 424.4 total yards, 88.6 rushing yards, and 335.9 passing yards a contest, while allowing 37.3 points, 481.1 total yards, 273.6 passing yards, and 207.6 rushing yards.

Georgia St. is paced by senior quarterback Nick Arbuckle, who has passed for 2,341 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Louisiana leads the all-time series, 2-0, including a 34-31 win over the Panthers a year ago at Cajun Field.
