Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team fell on the road in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon, dropping an 87-68 decision to the 23rd-ranked Baylor Bears in Waco, Texas.

Baylor led at the half, 33-22, and then outscored Louisiana, 54-46, in the second half, to capture the 19-point win, their third-consecutive victory to begin the year.

The Bears out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 59%-34%, and also finished with a 36-32 rebound advantage.

Kenny Chery led the way for Baylor, scoring 20 points, while Cory Jefferson contributed 16 points, and also pulled down a game-high ten rebounds.

In a losing cause for Louisiana, Elfrid Payon poured in a game-high 20 points, while Shawn Long added 16.

With the win, the Bears improved to 3-0, while the Cajuns fell to 2-2.

Louisiana returns to action on Saturday, November 23, with they take on Oakland, in the Maui Mainland Invitational in Crosby, South Carolina.
