Bowl week is an exciting week.  And, a busy one.

But we'll have everything covered this week.  We thought you could use a schedule of events so you won't miss a thing, no matter the sport or the location.

Here's what we have lined up:

MONDAY:  The red-hot Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team has won eight straight and we'll talk about it with head coach Bob Marlin on his radio program on location at Pete's Family Sports Grill on Johnston Street.  We had a great crowd for the show last Monday.  Hope you can join us.  It starts at 6:30 on ESPN1420.

TUESDAY--The Cajuns' football team departs from New Orleans.  Be looking for video on our You Tube Channel and right here ont the website.

WEDNESDAY:  Take a deep breath.  Here we go.  It all starts Wednesday morning when Steve Peloquin brings you Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball as Louisiana plays host to the Houston Cougars in the annual "education" game.  Middle school students from all over Acadiana will be there to cheer on the Cajuns.  Airtime is at 10:45am on ESPN1420.

Then, Bird's Eye View and the Sports Gap will be on location from the Marriott Hotel in New Orleans.  jay Walker and Scott Prather will  have plenty of special guests and you'll get all of the early flavor of bowl week.  It'll be an abbreviated version because...

Ryan Baniewicz is on the air at 4:30 on ESPN1420 and HOT 107.9 as the Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team is in Georgia to take on the Bulldogs.  The Cajuns will be looking for their first win over an SEC team since 2003.  Tip is scheduled for 5:00pm.  It's also on the SEC Network, but you know the drill.  Turn down the sound and turn up R. B. as he describes all the action.

THURSDAY:  The Marriott is the site for "Thinking Out Loud" as Steve Peloquin and Gerald Broussard will be on location from 7-9 am.  The G Man will start his analysis of the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl and they'll have some special guests as well.

That afternoon, Bird's Eye View, the Sports Gap and the Great S.C.O.T.T. show are all on location at Manning's Restaurant on Fulton.  Special guests will be on hand as well.  Also, be watching for our video of the Cajuns' visit to the Children's Hospital, always a heart-warming part of bowl week.

Thursday at 6:00 we'll still be at Manning's and Ragin' Cajuns head football coach Mark Hudspeth joins us for a special edition of the Mark Hudspeth Show.  Note the special start time.  Coach Hud will break down the game against ULM, what the Cajuns have done since that game and preview the game with Southern Miss.

And, watch for video from the "Second Line Parade" headed down Bourbon Street Thursday night.

FRIDAY:  Back to the Marriott in the morning for another edition of "Thinking Out Loud" with Steve and Gerald as we continue to get you ready for the game on Saturday.  Then that afternoon, Jay and Scott are right outside the Ballroom where the big pre-game party takes place.  We'll have special guests and coverage of the Cajuns' graduation ceremony for those football players who have completed their degree requirements.  It's all from 3-6 pm.

SATURDAY:  It's a busy day for the broadcast crew and it starts not at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but at the UNO Lakefront Arena, as the men's basketball team takes on long time rival New Orleans.  Jay Walker has the call beginning at 1:30 on ESPN1420 and HOT 107.9.  Then he'll UBER over to the Dome, where Steve Peloquin and Gerald Broussard have the two hour pre-game show beginning at 6:00 on ESPN1420, HOT 107.9 and the statewide Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Radio Network.  Kickoff is just after 8:00pm as Richie Falgout and KATC's Travis Webb join Jay for all the game action as the Cajuns take on Southern Miss.

We'll all be ready for a nap when it's all over, but we're excited to bring you all of the excitement of Bowl Week and Cajuns' hoops as well.
