Cardi B had a rough Tuesday night (Sept. 19). The rising rap star tweeted an alarming story about a run-in with the NYPD.

According to XXL, Cardi tweeted that she was put in a chokehold by an NYPD officer. “I can’t believe this cop put me on a choke hole [sic] just now s--- is crazy these NY cops don’t know how to do they job F--- 12,” she wrote.

Cardi later confirmed that the cop was indeed white. When a fan asked what the rapper was doing at the moment, she replied saying she was on her way to catch a flight. Those tweets has since been deleted but XXL was able to screenshot some of them.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper didn’t provide any further details about the incident and it's unclear why she deleted the tweets. We must also mention that the NYPD has banned the use of a chokehold. Reps for Cardi B had no comment on the matter.

Despite her alleged incident with the police, Cardi B appears to moving forward with her career. The 24-year-old rapper just dropped the remix to “Bodak Yellow” with Kodak Black and she’s currently putting the finishing touches on her debut album for Atlantic Records.
