Carrie Fisher Had Ties To Acadiana

Carrie Fisher, the actress, author and pop culture icon who died this week, has ties to Acadiana.

According to Wikipedia, Fisher had a child with talent agent Bryan Lourd, a New Iberia native!

Lourd attended NISH and then went on to earn a communications and journalism. He got a job in the talent business and currently is involved in the Creative Artists Agency. Lourd and Fisher had a child, Catherine Fisher Lourd (Billie) in 1992.
