Ladies often say that the original wedding ban she puts on her husband's finger has a sentimental value to it, and that it's meaning can never be replaced. However, when ladies want a larger diamond ring, they are quick to push their original engagement ring to the side.

Mother's Day is just days away and we want to take care of three single moms in Acadiana. But in order for us to surprise them on Mother's Day, we need you to nominate a single mom that is hard working and that has been through a lot as of late.

For the third year in a row we delivered roses and treats to women who are now single on Valentine's Day. With the help from our friends at Les Amis Flowerland and Lolli's Chocolates, both in Lafayette, we hit the road today to deliver a dozen red roses and chocolate covered strawberries to three women who were nominated for the giveaway.

It's that time of year, when the mischievous 'Elf On The Shelf' returns to your home for the Christmas holidays. We asked for you to submit photos of Elf in your home, and boy, did you deliver.

Monday morning, Chris Jones aka "The Cotton Candy Man" joined Chris Reed on the morning show to thank the people of Acadiana for their generosity. Jones recently lost everything in a house fire and the fine folks of Acadiana have come to his aide with lots of donations.

Its hard to believe that another Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway is in the books, but helping out families in need never gets old. Last Wednesday, members of the HOT 107-9 staff delivered Thanksgiving Baskets to three separate families in Acadiana that were nominated by either friends or family.

As we rapidly approach the end of 2013, we will now see an influx in the  "Best Of" and "Worst Of" lists. According to GQ Magazine, former NBA player Dennis Rodman was the least influential celebrity of 2013.

"Big-D," the custodian of seven radio stations at Townsquare Media, was on the show this morning and two things were brought up in our conversation. One, he plans of preparing lunch next week for the entire Lafayette staff and even our corporate team from New York, and two, he brought up that he is constructing a haunted house for Halloween.

Lafayette's own Ray Boudreaux was on the morning show this morning to discuss his recent performance on "The Voice." Hear what he had to say about his recent performance on the show and what could be next for our latest local celebrity.

This morning on the show, I played a snippet of "Timber" by Pitbull and Ke$ha. I gave you the option to either "Love It" or "Shove It" and most of those who called the show "Loved It."

This past weekend, I attended the LSU and Florida game in Tiger Stadium. Kickoff was at 2:30pm and being on the east side of the stadium brought plenty of sun to the fans on that side of the stadium.

This morning, "Big D," the custodian of all seven of our radio stations, was on the morning show & boy did he have a lot to say. First, we addressed his run-in with poison ivy and then we got into the discussion about his responsibilities this weekend at Girard Park.

As a way to welcome back students to UL, we hid five pairs of tickets around Cajun Field and the Bus Stop to our show this Thursday night at The District. Five white envelopes each had a pair of tickets to see Iggy Azalea and Riff Raff at The District.

At the recent La. Outdoor Expo I was backstage with Uncle Si from "Duck Dynasty," and he had one quick/simple message for all of Acadiana!!!

By now most of you know that a radio icon, Kidd Kraddick, was called home last Saturday while in New Orleans for a charity golf tournament. What you may not know is how much of an impact Kidd had on my career choice.
