This morning, August 7th, on the show Candice was in a festive mood because it was my birthday!! I honestly think that Candice was more excited for this day than I was. In any case, watch what happened when it came time to blow out the candles on my cookie cake.

Like most football fans, I am beyond ready for the 2012 football season. We have reached that time of the year in sports, in my opinion, where there is nothing really exciting going on. Sure, the Olympics are days away, but nothing in my book replaces college and professional football season...

Charlene Shunick, the sister of missing 22-year-old Mickey Shunick, took some time out of her schedule to sit down with us and talk about the arrest of Brandon Scott Lavergne. Lavernge is the man being held by Lafayette Police in the disappearance of UL student Mickey Shunick.

The Board of Supervisors at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette have voted to allow the University to sell the land on Johnston St., "The Horse Farm," to the city of Lafayette in exchange for a Youth Park. The land the University is willing to sell sits on 100 acres with the "heart" of Lafayette...

This morning on the morning show, Monday June 4th, we opened the studio door to Charlene Shunick, the sister of Mickey Shunick, to discuss the on-going efforts to "Bring Mickey Home." Mickey Shunick went missing over two weeks ago in Lafayette, and the efforts to find her are still underway.

This morning, Friday, we thought that it would be funny to change the door knob to our studio. Unfortunately, for Chris Logan he had no clue that we were NOT going to let him into the Hot Studio at 10am for his midday show. While holding the station hostage, we decided to keep the Friday Morning Breakfast Jam going till 10:30am!!! Yes, we broke ALL of the station and radio rules in the handbook. R

One of the stories buzzing early this morning has to do with a Detroit Judge sending a half-nude photo of himself to the court bailiff. According to FoxDetroit, the bailiff's husband found the photo on her cellphone and became very upset after learning that it was is wife's boss, Judge McCree. The kicker to the story came when the judge was approached about the recent photo.

In recent weeks we have seen a rash of reports that teenagers in our area, Acadiana, have gone missing. Luckily, most of the stories end on a happy note as the teenager simply elects to return home or is found safe.

Like most of you, I too sometimes wake-up on the "wrong side of the bed." However, with the help of Youtube, my sour moods can often go from gloomy to bright in just minutes. Yes I will admit, I often use Youtube to my advantage to start my day on the "right foot." Here are a few LOCAL videos that went viral and have since become a few of my favorites.
