For the second year in a row on Valentine's Day, HOT 107.9 - along with our friends from Les Amis Flowerland, Spa Mizan, & Atlantic Records - delivered roses to three deserving women in Acadiana. For weeks, we invited you to nominate women from Acadiana that would not be getting roses this year for Valentine's Day.

We are making final preparations for the upcoming Mardi Gras season in Lafayette, and we will be looking for YOU on Mardi Gras day. The Hot Crew will once again be in the Lafayette Independent Mardi Gras parade on Fat Tuesday, and we want to see you and your signs.

As we rapidly approach the end of the year, we here at HOT 107-9 want to say thank you for making us the HOTTEST radio station in Acadiana. You have all been so kind and so supportive of us throughout the year we want to give something back to you. And what better than cool Christmas gifts?

One thing we REALLY take pride in here at Hot 107-9 is that we are an official St. Jude radio station. We host an annual St. Jude radiothon every Spring, and now we are taking part in the St. Jude Give Thanks. Walk on November 17th.

Halloween has to the second funnest holiday out there, only behind Christmas, so we thought that it would be good idea to start our trick-or treating early this morning. Chris Reed and Candice, along with Cayeene from UL, set-up shop at the intersection of Ambassador and Johnston to hand-out candy as many of you were on your way to school or work.

Last night we had the drawing at "Prime" in Downtown Lafayette for the "Money Boo Boo" promotion where we are paying someone's bills for the REST OF THE YEAR!! All of the qualifiers came together for this special night, and we are happy to announce that Billie Segura of New Iberia was the winner of our promotion.

Hot 107.9 teamed up with 'Money Boo Boo' to pay one lucky person's bills for the rest of the year, and tomorrow (October 22) at Prime in downtown Lafayette (533 Jefferson St.), we will draw a winner!

This morning, Tuesday morning, U.S. Olympic Gymnast John Orozco was in the Hot 107-9 studio to discuss his Olympic experience and talk about the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions coming to the Cajundome this Sunday, October 21st.
