The secret to telling a great story is that you REALLY have to get into it! Although you might be interested in the fairytale, you should stay away from the extreme facial expressions. No wonder I never liked reading, my teachers never ROARED at me when the good parts came.
April 13, 2012 When it comes to promoting safe sex, I think about that awkward sex ed class in middle school that we have all endured at one point or another. Snickering from the back of the classroom was almost a guarantee anytime the scientific term for genitalia was uttered by the sex ed instructor. Kids are immature, hence the importance of sexual education at such a young age. Though, it seems as if kids aren't the only ones who need to be told to 'strap it up' these days.
You know the law, NO TEXTING AND DRIVING! Although this guy didn't break any laws, he did come face to face with a bear while sending his loved one a 'kissy message.' I know it sounds unbelievable, but just 'bear' with me.
There comes a time when you need to let your children make their own decisions. At 3-years-old your parents still decide for you, but if your getting nutrients from mom, it MIGHT be time for a change. My parents did some questionable things when I was a child, but nothing this wild. Well it might not be that bad, but coming from a small town....I don't think I could handle this.
April 11, 2012 In my short time on this planet, I have come to realize that there are only two types of girls - good girls, and bad girls. Now, bad girls aren't always necessarily 'bad' for you, but they definitely aren't 'wifey material.' And fellas, before you think you can 'tame' any 'bad girl' to your standards, ask any female - it ain't happening. Actually, most guys NEVER realize they're with a 'bad girl' until it's too late.

April 11, 2012 We hear how deadly it is time and time again, but texting while driving is a huge problem that continues to lead to a ton of unnecessary accidents. Recently, I blogged about bad driving habits in Lafayette, and distracted driving made the list. Every day I see people buried in their phones, putting on make up or digging around in their backseats while driving and it scares me to think that not only are they putting their own lives at risk, but they are putting lives of others on the road at risk as well.
April 10, 2012 Lafayette is a unique place that is literally oozing with culture. We work hard, we party harder, and there always seems to be a reason to celebrate. We have great food, and beautiful people who can make strangers feel like family. Often times I tell people that per capita, Lafayette has some of the MOST beautiful people who are actually 'from' the area. But sadly, being beautiful doesn't have anything to do with being a good driver.
