Diva Demands: 6 Outrageous Celebrity Tour Riders
We all know that celebrities can have outrageous demands when they are on the road and/or on tour. In a recent story published by ABC News, several celebrities had their demands published, and made public. Here are a few notable celebrities that have “diva-like demands” while on tour. See if you ever expected the following out of some of your favorite celebs.
According to her 2010 tour rider obtained by the Smoking Gun, Carey requested such luxuries as a $200 bottle of cabernet sauvignon, two dozen white roses and vanilla aromatherapy candles in her dressing room. Her rider requested that the temperature of her room hover at 75 degrees and the furniture in her "living room space" bear "no busy patterns; black, dark gray, cream, dark pink are all fine."
According to her 2010 tour rider, Christina Aguilera demands the following while on tour: real coffee mugs for her java, along with soy milk, soy cheese, echinacea, vitamin C and Flintstones chewable vitamins...Flinstones Vitamins??? I don't get this one!!!!
Here are a few things that were on a rider for a CHARITY EVENT: "White flowers, white furniture, white curtains. And Cuban food." It has been reported on several occasions that while J-Lo often demands a lot in regards to food backstage, she often goes without even touching any of it.
For her 2010 tour, like most other celebs, Rihanna too had some outlandish demands. They included: a six-foot couch -- plush, white and no leather, and big enough for her to stretch out on for a nap -- six floor lamps with dimmers, throw pillows and a "clean" rug in animal print and the aforementioned candles. The singer also DEMANDED that all bathrooms be spotless, and toilets be deep cleaned.
According to the hip-hop artist's 2010 rider, M.I.A. demanded equested an organic cheese tray to include cave-aged Gruyere, Swiss and sharp cheddar, along with organic berries, fresh -- not canned -- olives and Ferrero Rocher chocolates. She must be serious about her cheese!!!!
This guy has been to the Cajun Dome on several occasions, and I'd love to know if any of these demands were made here. For someone that has had several brushes with the law he requests that four off-duty cops must accompany him between the hotel and concert venue. If the requested security is not full-filled, the contract becomes null-and-void for any appearance.
