Whether it's Verizon's "Can you hear me now?" or AT&T's Lily, cell phone commercials have been bombarding us for years now.

The thing is, if you've seen one carrier you've seen them all, but they don't want you to know that.

From heat maps filled with dots to give the illusion of mass coverage and the impressive-sounding 4G speed to the promise of unlimited calling and the additional promise of paying customers to switch plans, this video makes it as clear as the connection you'll have with any phone that all the companies hawking mobile plans are as hard to tell apart as identical twins dressed in matching overalls.

It doesn't matter if you have an iPhone, a Droid or a flip phone (well, yes, it does matter -- don't get a flip phone. It's not 2005.). The cell phone carriers are as interchangeable as hotel room keys.

So, don't be too quick to bail on your provider just because you couldn't connect to the internet while you were sitting in a restaurant. It happens to everyone. Just relax and dump that lightning quick 4G decision to swap carriers.
