Chad Johnson Cut From Miami Dolphins + Reality Show Cancelled Following Arrest For Domestic Abuse

It's safe to say that the NFL wide receiver formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, is having the worst week ever. First, Chad Johnson was arrested on domestic violence charges on Saturday following an alleged head-butting incident with newlywed wife Evelyn Lozada. Chad quickly posted bail, and was released, but his problems had only begun.

Less than 48 hours after he was released from jail, Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin announced that the six-time Pro Bowl receiver was cut from the team. The Dolphins head honcho said his decision "wasn't based on any single incident," as Johnson was already on Philbin's naughty list for his erratic behavior - including recent incidents where he frequently used profanity with reporters. To quote Philbin, Chad just "wasn't a good fit."

Things went from bad to worse when VH1 announced that they were 86'ng Chad & Evelyn's upcoming reality show, set to premiere on September 3, 2012.

Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series, ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it.

What makes this whole situation even crazier, is that their reported dispute was allegedly over Evelyn finding a receipt for a box of condoms in Chad's Maserati, and just a few months ago on 'Basketball Wives,' Evelyn basically gave Chad the OK to cheat! See for yourself in the video below!

Regardless, Chad Johnson/Ocho-whatever he is calling himself these days, is having the worst.. week... ever.

UPDATE: According to TMZ, after just six weeks of marriage, Evelyn has filed for divorce from Chad, claiming that her marriage was "irretrievably broken."

UPDATE: In an effort that seems like it may be too little, too late - Chad Johnson has issued a public apology.
