While Chance The Rapper's recent engagement to his longtime girlfriend has been much of the chatter surrounding the artist, the Chi-town native apparently has even more exciting news to share with fan—a collaborative project with Kanye West is actively in the works.

On Wednesday (July 11), the "Everything" rapper appeared on Windy City Live to reveal that he's in the process of cooking up new heat with Ye later this month. According to Chance, the two Chi-town lyricists have been working together on a project that is "very, very personal."

"Working under him, working with him on his albums is crazy, but having him tell me that he wants to produce my album and come to Chicago is like," Chance added, at a loss for words. "This month, he's coming to Chicago. He comes to Chicago but he doesn't make a big deal out of it so I probably shouldn't have just said that on TV," he said.

Back in June, Peter Rosenberg alluded to Ye' producing a seven-track album for Chance. The project reportedly would be structured more or less in the same way as recent G.O.O.D. music releases including Pusha T's Daytona and Nas' Nasir. Nonetheless, a Yeezy-produced Chance album could make for a triumphant return for the deft lyricist, considering his last project Coloring Book is well over two years old.
