Maybe it's a Chicago thing or maybe real just recognize real. Either way, Chance The Rapper is one of Kanye West's favorite people.

Kanye took to Twitter to proclaim his appreciation for Chancellor this weekend (May 15) in the wake of the 23-year-old featuring 'Ye on his third mixtape Coloring Book which dropped last Friday (May 13). Kanye's vocals, along with a children's choir, appear on the opening track "All We Got."

"My brother Chance!!! Thank you for letting me work on this masterpiece. One of my favorite people," Ye tweeted with a link to Coloring Book on iTunes.

This, of course, is no ordinary compliment coming from West. Chance has said in numerous interviews over the years that the fellow Chi-Town wordsmith and producer is one of his favorite artists. It was just three years ago that Chance tweeted about Kanye listening to Acid Rap. Talk about speaking things into existence.

The former XXL Freshman even documented the first time he met Kanye back in September 2014. Fast forward two years and Chance is one of the most sought-after rappers in the game and is a close and trusted collaborator of Kanye's. Chance was featured on Kanye's eighth album The Life of Pablo and his opinion is respected so much by Ye that Team Yeezy delayed the release of the album by an entire day so that Chance could fix the composition of the song "Waves," a track he fought to have be on the final product.

As the summer wages on, Chance is slated to release more music. Young Chano recently revealed that he has a joint mixtape with Childish Gambino in the stash. Yeezy, on the other hand, is still hard at work on his next album Turbo Grafx 16 which could feature the likes of Vic Mensa, Migos and Lil Yachty.
