Most people are funny about where they relieve themselves. Some folks can't do certain bathroom duties outside of their own home. Others have been known to strip completely naked in order to do any bathroom business, no matter where they happened to be (eww, public restrooms). A group of architects in Guadalajara just took the bathroom game to a whole new level that even has me, a guy who can go anywhere, wondering if I could use their bathroom.

It's floor is made completely of glass that allows its occupants to look down 15 floors of an unused elevator shaft. Architects Hernandez Silva Arquitectos recently designed the bathroom, along with the rest of the interior of a new penthouse that sits atop a 1970's Mexican colonial building in Guadalajara, Mexico.

a volume that was originally intended for a second elevator and was never installed becomes a powder room with a glass floor that looks down all the 15 levels, the PPDG penthouse is a great versatile modulated space, with great views all this with the concepts of transparency and the simplicity of materials.

Doing my business from 15 stories up over an open elevator shaft? Amazing, yet terrifying.

Would you use this bathroom? Could you use this bathroom?
