Every city has it's own St. Patrick's day tradition. Louisiana has huge party's and even parades. Chicago on the other hand turns their rivers green. Watch how they do it. They call it greening the Chicago river! Those Chicago Irish.... they really know how to celebrate St. Patty's Day!

Thousands of cheering onlookers along downtown bridges, as members of Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Union dump containers of green dye in to the Chicago river.

There is also a parade that follows.

The Union has been dying the river since 1962. The dye last 6 to 12 hours. Till it goes back to it original color of dark green.

Enjoy and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
