Childish Gambino stays winning. Following the universal viral success of his new song and video "This Is America" which debuted during his appearance on Saturday Night Live last week (May 5), the sales for his previous albums have gone through the roof and reappeared on the Billboard 200 chart.

According to Billboard, by the end of last week, Gambino's catalog sold 11,000 copies and his songs were clicked more than 100 million times. His album Awaken! My Love moved to No. 45 on the Billboard 200 chart, Because the Internet jumped to No. 61 and Camp clocked in at No. 197. All in all, the entirety of his album sales went up 419 percent according to Nielsen Music's numbers.

Since "This Is America" was released, it has sparked a nationwide narrative about the Black experience of the nation and the debate surrounding gun control laws. The song quickly shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it his first-ever No. 1 song, and has gone completely viral online, sparking a number of remixes from all different genres.

Producer for the video Ibra Ake went on to discuss some of Gambino's ideas behind the video and song, which included a modern take of "We Are the World" in using different rappers ad-libs on the song.

"You know, there's a bunch of rappers featured, but he just kind of wanted to make a 'We Are The World' song with rappers. And really not them rapping, just their ad-libs. Just kind of reducing the features to jazz," Ake explained.

Unfortunately, Gambino has said that his next album will be his last. Young Thug confirmed that as the truth, and also said that he'll be featured on Gambino's final body of work.
