Chris Berman Set To Leave Main Gigs At ESPN

Multiple media outlets are reporting that longtime sports broadcaster Chris Berman will step away from his main hosting gigs at ESPN following the 2016-17 NFL football season.

While it remains unclear if Berman will walk away from ESPN completely, some have suggested that he could remain with the network in some capacity.

Chris Berman, who many of us grew up watching on the network, has been with the company since 1979. He truly is a pioneer of ESPN.

The lifelong sportscaster has covered just about every sport while at ESPN, but he is best known for covering the National Football League. He and his colleague, Tom Jackson, have been hosting "NFL PrimeTime" since 1987 and they have also covered the NFL Draft for several years.

Berman joins the list of several veterans leaving ESPN. Recently, it was announced that Mike Tirico & Skip Bayless are both leaving the network too.
