After years of public scorn for assaulting his former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, Chris Brown offers his visual perspective on who he was back then to who he is right now. In his new video for ‘How I Feel,’ the R&B crooner is on a private plane and reflecting on his tumultuous rise to the top.

As he looks out into the clear blue skies, Brown raps about growing up in an abusive household and the infamous pre-Grammy incident with RiRi. “19 a n—a went through a tragedy / Three years a n—a just found a better me,” he raps.

We can only assume that with Breezy confessing his sins on a flight, that this was his way of saying after all of the turmoil he had to endure, he’s now reaching for the skies and not turning back.

As Brown prepares to release his new album ‘Fortune’ on May 8, he’s been dropping a bevy of singles and videos, including the ballad ‘Sweet Love.’ Let’s hope he stays on the right path and suffers no turbulence along the way.
