Chris Brown is keeping busy while behind bars. For fans wondering when the singer will release new music, he's reportedly penning songs with James DeBarge, another singer locked up in the L.A. Country Jail.

According to TMZ, Breezy and James DeBarge (who was a part of the '80s family group DeBarge) are housed side-by-side in jail. Although they can't physically see or interact with each other, the two have apparently written three songs and perform them while other inmates join in to harmonize.

The 'X' creator is currently serving 131 days in jail for violating his probation. Brown admitted to the probation violation, which caused a Los Angeles judge to hand him an additional jail sentence.

The singer’s probation violation stems from his involvement in a fight in Washington, D.C., last year, which lead to his arrest.

Brown landed back in jail in March. The 25-year-old apparently broke internal rules while attending rehab. As a result he was thrown out of the facility, which violated a judge’s order since the ‘Loyal’ crooner made a deal to head to rehab and avoid jail on the condition he completed 90 days.

Even behind bars, he's battling additional legal issues. Last week, Breezy sued a man claiming he was assaulted by the singer and allegedly tried to extort money from him.
