Chris Brown has scored a major victory in his ongoing custody battle over his daughter Royalty.

Breezy appeared in a Houston courtroom today (Sept. 11), where a judge granted him joint custody of his 1-year-old daughter. The Grammy Award-winning singer is also reportedly seeking a gag order to stop his daughter’s mother, Nia Guzman, from slandering him on social media. Both Brown and Guzman have been going back and forth on Instagram bad-mouthing each other for their lack of parenting skills.

In addition, both parties are also trying to hammer out an agreement on child support payments. Guzman is seeking $15,000 a month, while Brown wants to keep paying $2,500 a month.

Brown went on Instagram to shoot down TMZ’s erroneous report that he wasn’t in the courtroom. Apparently, the “New Flame” singer was sitting with his attorneys during the hearing.

Like any father should, Brown hasn't been shy about his love for Royalty. Just take a cursory look at his Instagram account and you see several photos and videos of him hanging out with his baby girl. Despite his ongoing custody battle with Guzman, it looks like Brown is embracing fatherhood with open arms and is willing to do anything to keep Royalty in his life.
