Cleveland Cavaliers Select Kyrie Irving With First Pick In 2011 NBA Draft

Congratulations to former Duke Blue Devil player, Kyrie Irving, for being selected the first pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. Irving was selected by the Cleveland Cavillers, the former home of Lebron James.While some analysts question Irving’s durability for the 82-game, others say his atlethletic ability and basketball I.Q. overshadow any physical doubts. Irving has a struggled staying healthy at times, thus many are questioning if he can survive the rigorous season the NBA offers. Still, he was the first of many players to shake the commissioner’s hand tonight in the 2011 NBA Draft.
