Some teens got together to make safe sex even safer with color changing condoms.

They're calling it the 'smart condom' or S.T.EYE. It changes color when it detects a sexually transmitted disease. The 14-year-old inventors say the condom will glow green for chlamydia, yellow for herpes, purple in the presence of the human papillomavirus which causes genital warts, and blue for syphilis.

Daanyaal Ali is one of the designers and said he came up with the condom because he hoped the condom would make people more aware of STDs and more willing to seek treatment.

The S.T.EYE was awarded first prize in the Health Category at the final of the TeenTech awards. Good for them and we hope to see this on the shelf soon.
