This is what you call a looooong distance relationship.

Do you think you could wait 70 years for someone that doesn't even live in the United States?

Norwood Thomas, a 93-year-old D-Day war veteran, wants nothing more then to hook back up with his wartime love, 88 year-old Joyce Morristhat. Thomas met her 70 years ago in England during WW II.

The first thing Thomas said to her was "you are so beautiful." That's one way to break the ice after 70 years.  #OldSchool

For over two hours they laughed like teenagers and reminisced over all the good times they had. Then Thomas told her he wanted to see her again. The only problem is they both live on a fixed income and they both have health problems.

But that's not going to stop Thomas from reuniting with Joyce. After the story aired, hundreds of people reached out and donated money for Thomas to fly to Australia to meet up with his long lost love.

Once the Air New Zealand got wind of the situation they decided to take care of the remaining expenses.

If everything works out right Thomas will met up with his love on Valentine's Day!
