Dave Chappelle's Netflix specials dropped at midnight—The Age of Spin and Deep in the Heart of Texas—and since then, he's had everyone talking.

Last night, he celebrated the premiere of the specials in L.A.

“This is a celebration!” he announced at the Peppermint Club in West Hollywood, according to USA Today. He then launched into a one-hour set, with different jokes than the ones that appear in his special, touching on the presidential election and Emmett Till.

Leading up to the two anticipated stand up specials, Chappelle has been on a promo run, including a heartfelt interview on CBS This Morning with Gayle King, where he broke down exactly why he left his hit Comedy Central series, Chappelle's Show, at the height of its success in 2005, leaving behind a $50 million paycheck.

"I was in this very successful place, but the emotional content of it didn’t feel anything like what I imagined success should feel like. It just didn’t feel right," he said. "Chappelle’s Show’s like breakin’ up with a girl and you still like her. But in your mind you’re like, ‘That s--- is crazy. I’m not goin’ back."

So far, the response to the specials has been huge, with fans on Twitter saying it's like he never left and just generally overjoyed that he's back. Check out some of the reactions below.
